My connection to this mission is deeply personal. I was diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) in October 2011, and the journey since then has been one of challenge, learning, and resilience. In the last year, I’ve become more involved with ALD Connect and have seen firsthand how powerful this community is when we come together. I’m deeply honored to have been recognized as Ambassador of the Year 2025 — an award that reflects not only my efforts, but also the strength and shared purpose of the entire ALD community.
ALD Connect brings patients, families, clinicians, and researchers together to drive progress in care, advance research, and make sure no one faces ALD alone. This Rare Disease Month, I’m asking you to join me in supporting this work — because awareness and action can change lives.
Will you contribute today to help ALD Connect continue their mission?
If you’re able, please consider making a donation to ALD Connect today. Every gift makes a difference.
With deep gratitiude,
Julie
