As the nation’s leading voice advocating for the needs of the full adoption community, National Council For Adoption has over the course of our history advised six presidents, countless members of Congress, and many foreign governments on adoption policy, with our work driving the enactment of landmark legislation supporting adoption and adoptive families. Our thirty-year public service announcement campaign has featured celebrities from Barbara Bush to Bubba Watson to Meryl Streep and reached millions of Americans with messaging that encourages families to consider adoption. Working with more than 100 member agencies in 300 locations across 45 states and Canada to provide capacity-building professional support, we touch the lives of more than 1.5 million individuals in the adoption triad each year. Since our founding in 1980, NCFA’s work has been instrumental in helping to build the positive pro-adoption culture that the U.S. now enjoys.
