I am the mom of an ASK child who was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia in October of 2018. Weekly clinic visits over the passed 8 months have given me a unique look into the work that the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation does for the children and families affected by cancer and severe blood disorders. From welcoming vounteers, crafts that provide a distraction to those waiting, snacks for the children, sibling activities, a treasure box to reward those extra difficult days, tablets to make appointments more fun, games, puzzles, gas cards, and financial assistance, ASK provides so much to not only my son, but all children being monitored and treated at CHoR.
I signed on to be an ASK Ambassador because I have directly seen the impact it can make on the patients' and families' lives. With 1-2 children diagnosed each week here in Central Virginia, I am helping to raise money to provide financial, social, emotional and psycho-social support services to these children and families.
By making a donation to my page, you will join me in helping to provide Assistance, Support and Kindness to our community's youngest cancer patients!
