I'm raising money for Scleroderma Foundation of California!
Five years ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called systemic scleroderma. Systemic scleroderma is tricky as it affects everyone differently with skin issues, heart, lungs, GI tract, or kidneys. Sadly, for me it affected my kidneys causing them to shut down. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital then 18 months on dialysis and in early 2023 my kidneys were functioning enough to come off dialysis. Only 40% of the people with scleroderma kidney crisis come off dialysis so I am grateful to live each day without dialysis. Slowly, I have regained most of my mobility, strength, and stamina. I have come to accept this new normal with the help of the Orange County Scleroderma support group. Please consider walking with me on June 27th to support the Scleroderma Foundation of California.
Thank you for standing by me in this effort. Your support means the world to me!
