Walking to Honor Jack Matthew Jaha

Jack was born sleeping at 38 weeks, just one week shy of his scheduled C-section. He was a perfect beautiful baby boy, **our baby boy**. We were given the incredible privilege of spending four precious days with Jack. Four days to hold him, love him, tell him over and over just how deeply he was loved, and tell him how much his big sister loved him. We were able to sing him all the songs we had dreamed of singing to him and soak in every moment we possibly could with our sweet boy. Jack was incredibly special, and even in his short time with us, he changed things for other families. We were given the opportunity to try a saline bath with him, something that had never been done before at our hospital and possibly not anywhere in our city. Because of that treatment, we were able to have those four beautiful days with our son. And because of Jack, other families have since been given the opportunity to use this same treatment with their angel babies, allowing them more precious time together. Jack may have only been physically here for a short time, but his life has made a lasting impact. His name continues to bring love and comfort to families through **Jack’s Hug**. Babies born sleeping at the same hospital where we had Jack are given a special Jack’s Hug blanket, tied with a little blue ribbon and a Jack’s Hug tag. Those blankets are given to families during one of the most heartbreaking moments of their lives, giving them something soft and special to wrap their precious baby in. Our hope is that every Jack’s Hug blanket feels like exactly that, a hug. A reminder that their baby matters, their love matters, and they are not alone. Our sweet Jack, your life was far too short, but your impact continues to reach families you never had the chance to meet. Your name continues to be spoken. Your story continues to be shared. And your legacy continues to wrap other babies and their families in love. We love you to the heavens and back, sweet boy. Your Mommy, Daddy, big sister, and little brother love you more than words could ever say. You will forever be our baby boy, and we will forever carry you with us. ?

I'm walking to say a name that deserves to be spoken.

This October, I'm walking in Angel Walk 2026 at the Brown-Forman Amphitheatre — a one-mile remembrance walk for families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss.

I'm walking for [your Angel's name]. And I'm inviting the people who love us to walk alongside us — or to show their support from wherever they are.

If you can join us in person on October 10, I would love to have you. If you can't be there, a gift in [your Angel's name]'s memory helps First Hour Grief Recovery walk alongside every family in our community navigating sudden loss — families who, like ours, simply need to know they are not alone.

Every name on this Walk matters. I'm grateful you're here.
