Any Mountain RAINIER Climb
July 11 – 15, 2025
I feel an immense pull to bring awareness to women everywhere about Ovarian cancer. I was diagnosed and treated in 2019 and it was the most challenging journey of my life. I was only 44 years old and hearing the word cancer shattered my world. The journey included chemotherapy, radiation, surgical procedures, and trips to the emergency room as well as a prolonged hospitalization. For three months I was in a hospital bed in my living room where sitting up was a painful struggle. Through recovery and connecting with LEWK and other survivors, I found an inner strength as "my" story is the story of many women. I was blessed to have listened to my body when I felt something was wrong and this incredible team, including Dr. Joanie Hope, saved my life. Now it's my turn to give back and hopefully, sharing my story will help others. I am ready to add to my Ovarian cancer journey to help bring awareness as a survivor of this deadly disease.
