On September 8th, my grandmother, Patricia, passed away after her courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was the heart of our family—warm, strong, and full of love—and losing her has left an emptiness that words can’t fully capture.
This year’s Parkinson’s Walk happens to fall on her birthday, making it all the more meaningful. I’ll be walking in her honor, carrying her memory with every step, and standing alongside countless others who are fighting this disease or remembering loved ones like her.
