As you may know, I recently started a new job at  Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA) which proves leisure and recreation opportunities to people with disabilities. It's truly a special organization that does impactful work EVERY day to provide people with disabilities a place to grow, play and belong.

So after a six year search, NSSRA purchased a former synagogue in Highland Park last year and embarked on a capital campaign to fund the building renovations that will include a large lounge, teaching kitchen, great room for dances, fitness and art rooms, and so much more for our participants to enjoy. It's very exciting, especially since we currently don't have any programming space in our current building.

This new space is going to bring so many opportunities for so many deserving people.
