Course Information

The 5k run will begin at 8 am sharp. It will start and end at Hill’s Hill Field, behind the Ed Burns Arena (422 Summer Street, Arlington, MA).

  • After starting on the Hill’s Hill field, turn left (east) onto the Minuteman Bikeway.
  • Continue east to Water Street.
  • Turn right on Water Street and then a quick right (west) onto Massachusetts Ave.
  • Bear right (west) from Massachusetts Ave. onto Lowell St.
  • Turn right onto Mill Lane (which becomes Frazer Lane at the Schwamb Mill) to return to the Minuteman Bikeway.
  • Continue east on the Minuteman Bike Path back to Hill’s Hill Field to the race finish.

The walk will start shortly after the run, using the same start and finish as the 5k run course.

  • After starting on the Hill’s Hill field, turn left (east) onto the Minuteman Bikeway.
  • Continue east to Water Street.
  • At Water Street, there will be a turnaround to head west on the Minuteman Bikeway.
  • Continue to Hill’s Hill Field to finish the walk.

There will be three opportunities for you to pick up your bib:

  • Friday, November 6, 2-5 pm at Arlington EATS, 117 Broadway
  • Saturday, November 7, from 2-5 pm at Arlington EATS, 117 Broadway
  • Sunday, November 8, from 6:30-7:30 am at Ed Burns Arena parking lot, 422 Summer Street

Parking

Race Day Parking: There is no parking at the ice rink on race day!

  • Alternate parking can be found at Reservoir Beach on Lowell St or McClellan Field on Summer St. 
  • When parking on side streets, DO NOT block driveways or impede traffic.
  • Consider walking, biking, or running!
  • Please note – there is no parking on the westbound side of Mass Ave. during the race from Water St. to Lowell Street

Race Day Reminders

The race will take place rain or shine, unless extreme weather conditions prevent safe participation. There will be no refunds.

While we love animals, please leave your pets at home for this race.

The fun doesn’t stop at the finish line! Stick around after the race for music, free refreshments, and fun activities for all ages!

The top three finishers in each age category, by gender, will receive medals. First place medals will be presented during the awards ceremony, while second and third place medals will be available for pickup at the registration table.
