On Monday, April 15th, I'm running the 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Boston in support of the Attleboro YMCA!

I decided to run the Boston Marathon - my first marathon ever! - because it is a way I can push myself way outside of my comfort zone and to celebrate healthy living while supporting the Y.

I grew up going to the Y. Through the many sports programs, I learned about sportsmanship and what it means to be part of a team. In high school, I joined the Leaders Club, where I met so many great friends, and eventually worked at the Y's summer camps. Today, I volunteer on the Attleboro YMCA's Board of Directors. Because of my experiences, I've seen how the Y changes lives. 

Through all those years at the Y, I benefited from the support of many coaches and Y staff. By running this race, I am just trying to follow in their footsteps. 

How can you help support the Attleboro Y and its cause to strengthen our community? You don't have to run a marathon!
