My Personal Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! On Saturday, March 9, I will join hundreds of my friends and neighbors on a fleet of stationary bikes as part of the Attleboro YMCA's 2019 Spin-a-Thon!

I'm happy to be a part of this community event to support the Y and the great work it does to help ensure a brighter future for everyone in our community - regardless of their ability to pay. Every gift raised through the Spin-a-Thon goes directly to the Y's Annual Campaign to help young people achieve their potential and empower people of all ages to lead healthier and happier lives.

Funds raised through the Y’s Annual Campaign have had a lasting impact on so many in the following ways over the last year alone:

  • Group mentoring and empowerment programs.for at-risk youth
  • Scholarships for low-income youth to attend summer camp.
  • Free wellness programs to help cancer survivors and people with MS,
  • Parkinson's disease, and other chronic diseases regain strength of body and spirit
  • Wellness programs and subsidized group memberships for youth and adults with developmental challenges
  • Subsidized memberships for low-income adults, youth, and families
  • Community outreach programs
  • So much more!

My Y Story: Back in 2015, I was unhappy, unfit, and unable to financially afford a fancy gym membership. The only form of exercise I had any memory of liking was dance. I recalled taking a few Zumba classes at my local YMCA from friends' guest passes, and decided to look into joining. Thanks to the fundraising efforts of The Y community, I was offered an affordable membership price through the YMCA's subsidized membership program. From there, my life began to change. I fell in love with with the YMCA. I was able to take Zumba classes seven days a week, eventually leading to my becoming an instructor and teaching classes of my own. I also fell in love with classes I never would have beleieved I'd set foot in: Strength Train, Kickboxing, Yoga... Not to mention all the friends I made along the way. Now, four years later, I stand here today much fitter, much happier, and not having gone bankrupt for the opportunity. So I thank the Y, the fundraising efforts of the Spinathons of years past, and everyone who chooses to donate to this cause on behalf of my ride. Let's give everyone the opportunity to become the best version of themseves!

If you'd like to support my Ride with a donation, that would be wonderful! Just click the "Donate Now" button on the right.

If you'd like to join me on the bikes to support the Y, even better! Click the "Join my Team!" button instead.

Thank you so much for your support! Both the Attleboro YMCA and I appreciate it!
