We know you’re the type of person who’s always pulling for pets. But now, we want you to actually PULL for pets!
What: Emancipet's Pulling for Pets returns this year just in time for Haul-O-Ween! Presented by Firehouse Animal Health Center, Tito's Handmade Vodka, and Vodka for Dog People, this one-day event features teams of ghosts and goblins (and pet lovers!) competing to pull Emancipet's 26,000 pound mobile clinic over 20 feet in the fastest time. But speed isn't the only thing that counts in this tournament - awards will be given out for best costumes and top individual and team fundraisers.
Pulling for Pets will feature drag queen performances, warm up games by Austin Yard Games, music by Boyfriend ATX, treats for kiddos, and more! Plus an after party will follow at Ani's Day & Night with more Halloween fun!
Every $16 raised sponsors a pet in Emancipet’s mission to make veterinary care affordable and accessible for everyone.
No matter the outcome, people and their pets are the winners (plus some serious bragging rights that you pulled a truck)! Plus all attendees are invited to the official Party for Pets after-party at Ani's Day & Night, 1:30-3:30, with dog tarot readings, drag queen performances by Extragrams, and more.
Cost: $25 for Adults, $20 for Students (free for spectators)
When: Sunday, October 24th. Registration begins at 10:30AM, with the Pull kicking off at 11AM
Where: Krieg Fields - 515 S Pleasant Valley Rd, Austin, TX 78741 (turn into the lot at the stoplight)
Benefits: Every dollar raised goes to support Emancipet's mission to make veterinary care affordable and accessible for everyone. Your life-changing support at this event goes directly to ensuring Austin pet owners have access to low-cost vet care. You can carry the weight, even if just for one day, for a person who feels like vet care is out of reach because of financial barriers.
What to wear: Comfortable athletic wear and closed toe shoes with tread. We recommend bringing gloves (although they aren't required). Participants will be emailed instructions and tips before event day.

Want to come cheer us on? This event is free to attend. Participants planning on pulling the mobile clinic are the only folks that need to register online in advance with a donation of $20-$25.
