Event Description

The Boyd School calls upon students, families, neighbors and friends to engage in “A Walk for Water”, a global community service experience for the whole family.

Collaborate with your classmates and community to raise funds that will bring sustainable water sources and capacity-building projects focused on health, sanitation, food security, education, women’s empowerment, environmental sustainability and livelihood opportunities to the people of the Azawak of West Africa, the most vulnerable populations living in Niger and Mali.

The Boyd School's annual event benefits the nonprofit Amman Imman: Water is Life, whose mission is  to empower and help preserve Africa’s most vulnerable indigenous peoples and engage students worldwide as socially conscious leaders.

A Walk for Water is a signature activity of Amman Imman’s Wells of Love program which serves to empower students as leaders, build bridges of friendship, and promote peace.
