Our chapter is made up of both young and older generations. It's interesting to see the way the different generations approach this fight, but the most important fact is that we're united.
One difference is that members of new generation haven’t necessarily lost anyone to the disease. The members of the older generation get to share the stories of the ones who we lost. At the same time, the younger generation are educating us on getting rid of the stigma around HIV/AIDS, prevention methods, and encouraging us to have an open dialogue about sex. This kind of communication has allowed people to be more cognizant that we can still love and be loved regardless of our status.
