All funds will go to Care Resource and their subsidiary, Food for Life.  These funds will help both organizations to to provide critical help to the 21,000+ people annually with primary medical and dental care, case management, behavioral health counseling, housing assistance, and nutritional assistance.  Furthermore, these funds will go towards prevention education, free HIV and STI testing, and continued outreach into our communities to do our to prevent new infections.

Florida has the third highest infection rate of HIV in the coutry.  After reaching a low in 2013 for new cases, we have been trending back up year over year.  We cannot let this stand.  We must fund outreach and education to ensure that our community is making the right decisions with the right information.

We also have over 1224 HIV cases per 100,000 people in Miami-Dade county alone.  In Broward it's 661 per 100,000 people.  These are people living with HIV, many of whom are strugling to just afford their medications.

Every dollar you donate will go to continue Care Resource's mission to improve the quality of life for all of our community in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale areas.
