The Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation champions our Founders’ devotion to youth — encouraging strong character and supporting children facing health challenges. We also honor their commitment to nature and its ability to enrich and heal us. The Palmer Foundation's vision is to support a Life Well Played for future generations.
By forming relationships with hospitals and research centers throughout the United States, including ones that bear our founders’ names, the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation provides critical support to children around the world. We’re fighting pediatric cancer by funding cutting-edge research and working with some of the most innovative physicians in the field.
With partner Brave Gowns, we provide child-friendly hospital gowns to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children to make visits less intimidating for patients.
We advocate for environmental education, recreation and conservation by providing access to place-based ecology education for children, protecting and enhancing natural lands, and facilitating youth exploration of nature and its positive impact on wellness.
Lake Lorna Doone Park, near Orlando’s Camping World Stadium, is an example of our commitment to introducing the natural world to youth and families.
Lake Lorna Doone Park includes the Winnie Palmer Nature Walk, staffed by a Neighborhood Naturalist, funded by the Palmer Foundation.
The Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve, a 50-acre reserve in Latrobe, PA, includes native landscapes, trails, meadows, gardens, an Environmental Learning Barn, Nature Explore Certified play spaces, a pond, and wetlands. The property is open to the public for recreation, conservation, and education.
We also fund scholarships to help young people prepare for successful futures and to reward integrity, hard work and fine character.
And of course, we are dedicated to growing the game of golf. A healthy pursuit that can last a lifetime, the sport encourages integrity, respect for others, leadership, and personal growth.
We are proud to embrace our Founders' spirit that, together, we can make a difference for people around the world.
