At 21, I faced an unexpected pregnancy and chose abortion. I deeply regret that decision. At the time, I believed the lie I heard at Planned Parenthood—that my baby was simply a clump of cells.

I strongly believe that if I had walked into a CareNet facility, heard my baby’s heartbeat, and received real support, I would be a mom—and possibly a grandmother today. That loss weighs on me, and I hope to keep the same thing from happening to other prospective mothers (and fathers).
