When I was 17 years old and unexpectedly pregnant with my daughter, Vivi, I was scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what the future would hold. During that season of my life, Care Net of Puget Sound became a source of support, encouragement, and hope.

The people at Care Net didn’t just provide practical resources- they reminded me that I wasn’t alone. They walked alongside me during one of the most challenging and life-changing times of my life, offering compassion, guidance, and support when I needed it most.

Today, Vivi is a thriving, joyful little girl, and I often think about how different my journey could have felt without organizations like Care Net. Their mission continues to impact women, men, and families facing unexpected pregnancies by providing free services, education, resources, and a caring community.

That’s why I’m participating in the PNW 5K Walk for Life on June 27, 2026. This fundraiser helps ensure that families in our community receive the same support and encouragement that I received years ago.
