Help Me Give More Young Parents the Chance to Graduate
I was fortunate to be part of the small but passionate group of community members who helped bring Generations Ahead to life as a nonprofit in 2019. After serving on our founding Advisory Board, I've now spent the past seven years on the Board of Directors, watching this organization grow from an idea into a place where young parents find hope, encouragement, and the support they need to succeed.
I've had the privilege of watching Generations Ahead walk alongside dozens of young parents as they earned their high school diploma and continued their education. This June, we celebrated a record-breaking nine graduates, a reminder that when a community believes in young families, incredible things happen.
Now, we're preparing for another school year.
More than 75 young parents are part of Generations Ahead, and nearly a third of them will be heading back to school this fall. For them, "back-to-school" isn't about new clothes or school supplies. It's about balancing classes, work, parenting, and finding a way to make it all work.
That's why I'm supporting Generations Ahead's Second Annual Back-to-School Campaign. Together, we can help remove barriers like childcare, transportation, groceries, and other basic needs so young parents can stay focused on earning a diploma or degree.
My goal is to raise $1,000 by August 16, and I'd be honored to have you join me.
Every gift helps a young parent move one step closer to the graduation stage, and one step closer to a brighter future for their family.
Thank you for believing in these incredible young families.
