I am 20 years old, a Child Development major and Psychology minor, and have a passion for kids.

I'm dating a wonderful guy named Tim, who has the most beautiful daughter around. Compared to them, I don't have much of a story to tell. He went through so much with her being delivered at 23 weeks premature. The constant worry of wondering if his new baby girl would make it a day or even a minute longer, is one of the worst things I could ever imagine going through. It's something that no one should ever have to deal with. BUT, the fact that his daughter, Lili, is the most perfect little 2 year old around, truly amazes me. The Children's Hospital staff in the NICU worked with God and performed miracles, and I couldn't ever give them the respect they deserve.  Lili is just one beautiful life they've saved, out of all the other preemie babies that have lived because of their hard work and passion. 

Even though I didn't go through this directly, I will still do whatever I can to support Children's, whether it be donating tie blankets for the kids in need, or doing these walks to show my respect.
