Numbers are great at telling stories. They tell so much about so many things. But in our lives, this year, at this time, one number holds a special place in our hearts: TWO! Two births. Two NICU admissions. Two NICU discharges (or graduations, if you will!). And most importantly, two second birthdays that are officially in the books!

As young parents, we never imagined that a NICU stay at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota would be part of our son’s birth stories. Looking back, we know, without a doubt, there is absolutely no place that could have been better equipped to help our boys when they needed it most. From providing just a tiny bit of extra assistance to help Parker stabilize after birth, to supporting us through our darkest moments when we discussed topics like amputation, blood clots, infection, and surgeries with Connor, the Children’s NICU program has given us SO much. Top-notch medical care. Emotional and spiritual support for our entire family. And, most importantly, two thriving, healthy boys!
