For many of our young men, the team is where they find discipline, identity, and a reason to stay connected to school. Coaches at Vertus serve as mentors, not just coaches, building the kinds of relationships that follow students long after the final whistle.
But participation here comes with real costs that most schools never face. Vertus has a gym. We have no field. No track. That means we pay to transport every athlete to every practice and every game, and we pay for access to the facilities they play on. Vertus is publicly supported, but not fully funded. Athletics depend on the community.
