Why I run

Anyone who has met me has probably heard me talk about Providence Animal Center, and specifically the dogs. But PAC is so much more than the dogs - PAC is a community. It's a community of lifesaving heroes that: rescues animals from impossible situations; transports animals out of the way of natural disasters to help other shelters make space for displaced pets; provides low cost veterinary services so families of all socioeconomic standing can afford care for their fur kids; provides low cost, positive reinforcement behavioral training; donates excess food and supplies to other local shelters and foodbanks; supports the Philadelphia no-kill coalition; and so much more. Your donation supports all of these efforts.

I run for dogs like Jake - the dogs who would be misunderstood or mislabeled anywhere else. PAC not only gives these dogs a second chance, PAC shows them how it feels to be cared and loved for. In return, they give us an endless number of filthy t-shirts, and ridiculous selfies.

I run for dogs like Bentley, who was rescued by PAC's Humane Law Enforcement Team and who is the most gentle soul in spite of what he's been through.

I run for community.

If you got this far, thank you for reading. If you donated, expect a ridiculous dog selfie coming your way. You're all heroes.
