I have been volunteering at Providence Animal Shelter ever since relocating to Philly. Taking time off between tours to volunteer as a dog trotter, I take dogs on runs and walks to help them blow off some steam and get some exercise away from the shelter! I've also taken dogs home for sleepovers to help assess their behaviors so that they can find homes even sooner. This past spring, I adopted my dog, Maisie, from Providence, and cannot say enough wonderful things about the work the shelter does!
