Beanie is a Lollypop Farm pet that has touched my heart.
When Beanie arrived at Lollypop Farm, he had a thick, dirty collar stuck painfully against his throat that appeared to have rarely been adjusted, if ever. Lollypop Farm veterinary staff had to patiently work to gain Beanie’s trust, giving him pain medication and special treats just to be able to remove the collar. But Beanie's challenges haven't stopped there.
Upon examination, the Lollypop Farm veterinary staff learned that Beanie was hearing impaired and mostly blind. Beanie has a unique genetic condition and will become completely blind over time. The critical life-saving funds raised at the Walk for the Animals at Barktober Fest ensure that pets like Beanie can receive the treatments and time they need to live the live happy, healthy lives. Beanie arrived at Lollypop Farm on November 19, 2020, and has been waiting for his second chance for more than 260 days.
