On June 10, I will be riding 30 miles to raise money for Bikes not Bombs. BNB is located in JP, where I currently live, and they send bicycles abroad to Africa, Latin America, and The Caribbean as a mode of transportation. Although some bikes do not get sent abroad, some stay in house at BNB, where youths are able to be mentored and learn the mechanical skills and bicycle saftey. The Youth Pathway Program enables youths to come in and work on bikes for themselves, and they are able to grow within the company.

As a teacher, this is close to my heart. In my profession, students are my number one priority when I am teaching. I am in charge of their safety and developing them into great citizens. This organization has the same agenda as I do.
