Two years ago, I took up cycling as a hobby and have lost 45 lbs. This summer, I'd like to pursue my first century ride, which, translated form bike lingo, is a 100 mile bike ride. Bikes Not Bombs is hosting such a ride this June! Please help me fundraise for such a great organization and help me ride those 100 miles!

Bikes Not Bombs reclaims thousands of bicycles each year, creating local and global programs that provide skill development, jobs, and sustainable transportation. Their programs mobilize youth and adults to be leaders in community transformation.
In their youth programs, participants have the opportunity to learn everything from basic bike maintenance and city riding to all the skills needed to work as a bicycle mechanic. Bikes Not Bombs also does international work, donating bikes to those in need around the world.
Each year, they collect roughly 6,000 used bicycles and tons of used parts from supporters around Greater Boston and New England. They then ship most of the bikes overseas to economic development projects through their International Programs in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Bikes that don't get shipped land in their Youth Programs, where teens learn bike safety and mechanical skills in the process of earning bikes to keep for themselves. Their retail Bike Shop also reconditions and sells some of the donated bikes received, employing many graduates of the programs. The Shop's profit from the bicycle sales, parts sales, and repairs goes towards funding youth and international work.
