Bike-A-Thon is an annual fundraiser for the local Boston nonprofit, Bikes Not Bombs. Bikes Not Bombs' mission is to use the bicycle as a vehicle for social change. They reclaim thousands of bicycles each year and create local and global programs that provide skill development, jobs, and sustainable transportation.Their programs mobilize youth and adults to be leaders in community transformation.

For the Bike-A-Thon, I'll be riding 50 miles to fundraise for this rad organization. I've loved being a volunteer at Bikes Not Bombs' volunteer nights, disassembling bikes so they can ship them overseas to their global partners. I'm also a frequent customer at their bike shop where I have met some of the graduates of their youth program who now work at the bike shop. It's easily my favorite bike shop in Boston (though I could be biased because that's where I got Otis). Bikes Not Bombs is a cornerstone of the Boston bike community and I would love your help in supporting their work by donating to my Bike-A-Thon fundraiser!
