Dear Friends,

This year, on Sunday, June 10, I will be riding in the Bikes Not Bombs Bike-a-Thon, doing the 50-mile route. While I have proudly supported BNB in the past with donations, this will be my first year riding in this event, now in its 31st year.

For a change, I will not be too loquacious, since BNB's Mission Statement says it all better than I can:

Bikes Not Bombs uses the bicycle as a vehicle for social change.

We reclaim thousands of bicycles each year.

We create local and global programs that provide skill development, jobs, and sustainable transportation.

Our programs mobilize youth and adults to be leaders in community transformation.
