If you know us, you know we love to bike everywhere and love to support Bikes Not Bombs (BNB), an organization committed to bringing bicycling into people's lives here in Boston and around the world.  Maddy biked to school almost every single day regardless of cold or rain, only missing a few days due to snow. While we have biked for several years together in the Bike-A-Thon, for the 3rd year in a row, Maddy will bike on her own 7-speed again this year! Why do we do this every year? Because BNB is a mission driven organization that has been advocating the bicycle as a vehicle for social change and empowerment for over 30 years.  At the local level, Youth Programs teach teens bicycle safety and maintenance, while enabling them to earn a bike of their own. Local teens are also able to participate in Youth Employment Programs which focus on professional development skills including peer leadership. Internationally, BNB repurposes and ships 1000s of bikes annually to economic development programs through partners in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
