So yes it's 2018 and yes our enjoyable tradition continues. We will be riding the 30 mile route this year. We have Hayden, Katie, and Dan on tap and ready to ride.

Leo will be sitting out again. He has a soccer game in the early afternoon. In the morning he will be hanging out with Grammy and Gramps California, who will be in town for a long weekend in order to help Hayden celebrate graduating from high school on Monday.

Ok folks with a title like that I'm sure you are dying to find out the answer, so I will end the mystery now. Who is going to have an easier rider this year? Well, Dan has recently begun to commute to work on his bike. It's about 45 minutes each way, and he's trying to do it at least a couple times a week, with a goal of up to 3-4 times weekly. It's a pretty flat ride (and scenic: along the Charles River, following various bike paths, through some nice parks, to the Charlestown Navy Yard waterfront...) but still, he probably won't be quite as sore when done with this year's bike-a-thon, as in past years!

And that's a good thing because the honk band he plays in has been hired to perform at the end of ride fiesta again this year. So he'll have to grab his trumpet as soon as he's off his bike, so any extra energy he might have will sure be helpful...
