As members of the Board of Directors, we come together each year to compete in what has always been our Celebrity Bartender Night, and don’t worry, that tradition is not going anywhere! However, as the event has grown more successful each year (and, well, some of us are ultra-competitive, even in the name of a little friendly fun), we decided it was time to take things up a notch.

Welcome to the BATTLE OF THE BOARD!

What’s at stake, you might ask? A trophy, of course, and ULTIMATE bragging rights!

Here’s How It Works:

Board Members and local community celebrities have been divided into five teams, and each team is competing to raise $20,000 between September 16 and October 16.

Throughout the month, teams will host events, rally their friends and families, and ask their networks to join them in supporting the youth of our community. And, of course, it all culminates at our Celebrity Bartender Night at the Westfield 99 on Friday, October 16, from 5:30–8:30 P.M.

Every “tip” we earn that night counts toward our team total. When the night comes to a close, the money will be tallied, the winner will be crowned, and one team will walk away the Champion!

But Why Do We Do It?

The competition is fun. The bragging rights are even better. But the reason behind it all is much bigger than a trophy.

Every child in our community deserves a safe place to belong, connect with their peers, discover their passions, and build confidence for the future.

At the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield, a young person can find their place whether that means stepping onto a basketball court, creating a piece of art, experimenting with 3D design, learning through STEM, developing leadership skills, or simply having a safe and supportive place to spend their time outside of school.

Today, more than 1,000 young people are members of the Club. Your support helps make sure they have the opportunities, resources, and caring adults they need to discover what they are capable of.

That’s why we are asking you to help our team win the battle and help our kids win at life.
