My name is Raina Scherer, and I've been the Assistant Director of Operations & Logistics at BB Camp for almost one whole year! After moving to the PNW from the Bay Area last Fall, BB Camp was quick to enthusiastically welcome me into my new Jewish community in Portland. Through BB Camp, I have made new friends, achieved personal career goals, and found a new Summer home on the Oregon Coast. Spending my Summer working alongside our campers has been the best part about moving to Oregon.
I am excited to participate in BBGives24 to help BB360 raise funds to help more campers experience the magic of Camp. Will you please help, too? I’ve set a goal of raising $360 to help support camper scholarships to make camp accessible to as many families as possible. I am so lucky to say I've spent 17 Summers at an overnight Jewish Summer Camp. It's my favorite fun fact about myself because I know how impactful all those Summers have been for my personal growth. Camp builds character, teaches you how to forge a strong community, and creates memories that truly last a lifetime.
