BCS is celebrating our 150th year of service in Brooklyn. This anniversary marks our unwavering commitment to service and uplifting the lives of people living in underserved neighborhoods across our Brooklyn community.
Since 1866 in response to the plight of disabled Civil War veterans and homeless children, BCS has remained committed to our community and has been on the frontline of every major crisis that Brooklynites have faced. From the influenza epidemic to the Great Depression, to the 9/11 tragedy, to the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. For 150 years our purpose had been our community.
We know you feel just as strongly as we do that all members of our community should have access an excellent education, job opportunities, safe and affordable housing, and quality and affordable health care and wellness programs. We all believe in ONE Brooklyn Community. That's why we created BCS 150 Give!
Now you can share your love of BCS and the good work we do together with your network.
