As many of you know, early detection of breast cancer and access to care is a very important cause to me. That's why I'm thrilled to be fundraising for Brem Foundation to Defeat Breast Cancer! For 20 years, Brem Foundation has championed one urgent belief: no woman should fail to detect breast cancer early because she lacked access, information, or the power to advocate for herself.
Today far too many women still face barriers that delay early detection:
Confusing or inconsistent screening guidelines
High out-of-pocket costs for follow-up tests
Long travel times to medical facilities
Dismissal of concerns, particularly for young women and women of color
These barriers cost precious time. And with breast cancer, time is everything. When detected early, survival rates increase dramatically and health outcomes are improved.
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, will you help me reach my goal and get women the access they need?
