Two years ago we received a call from the doctor's office telling us to take Perrin to the hospital ASAP. His blood tests taken that day showed his hemoglobin at 6 (normal is 13) and his iron at 9 (normal is 80). We spent a very scary week in the hospital as they ran tests, administered meds, completed procedures, transfused blood, and diagnosed and treated his Ulcerative Colitis. I'm so thankful for Bronson's Children's Hospital. They made our stay as comfortable as possible, helped to ease our fears and anxieties, and helped us to understand everything that was happening each step of the way.
