Hey pals! I have the honor of serving as Beat Bama Food Drive's Executive Vice President this year. Beat Bama Food Drive is a six week long competition (Oct. 1 through Nov. 15) between Auburn University and The University of Alabama to see which university can raise the most pounds of food for their respective food banks. BBFD helps support The Food Bank of East Alabama, which distributes food to Lee County and six other surrounding counties. Food insecurity has always been something that I am passionate about because growing up in Atlanta, it was always around me. If people aren't secure in their basic needs, they don't have the ability to be their best selves. Alabama has the highest food insecurity rate in the nation and in Lee County alone, one out of four people are food insecure. Help me in the fight today!
