Thank you for visiting my page! I joined Beat Bama Food Drive (BBFD) last year because it was an organization unlike the others on campus. It appealed to me because of its community service aspect, and goal of serving the greater community. When I got to Auburn last year, I was surprised by the lack of poverty, or at least what I saw in comparison to Atlanta. However, through my time on staff of BBFD, I’ve found that Lee County has problems of its own, one of the biggest being food insecurity. One of the reasons I love being a part of this group is everyone’s enthusiasm and efffort to help the needs of those around us, which at a campus like Auburn, is sometimes easy to forget. I hope you will join me in my efforts to help decrease food insecurity in Lee County, and beat Bama while doing so!
