Animal Harbor is a private, nonprofit animal rescue with no government funding.  I've always loved animals and have adopted a rescue animal every time.  There's nothing quite like the unconditional love of a rescue that feels safe and loved.  

 As a volunteer at Animal Harbor, we not only care for the animals, but we also work with the public to educate them about animal welfare.  Here we are with some of the shelter dogs at local schools teaching kids how to address a strange dog safely.
