Fundraising 101

Tips & Ideas

  1. Set a fundraising goal!
  2. Share your fundraising link on your personal fundraising page.
  3. Make it personal, share why you are participating in BFKS.
  4. Send out your fundraising link and personal story to your email contacts.
  5. Hang posters for your BFKS event and hang it in your break room, office, or other high visibility location. Request posters by emailing amatelski@bbbsecw.org.
  6. Download these bowling pin-ups, print them off on paper, and sell them for $1 to raise money for your team. - Coming soon!
  7. Hold a theme or hat day at work.
  8. Host a bake sale, potluck or taco Tuesday lunch or ice cream social sale at work to raise money.
  9. Download a pledge sheet to collect donations in person.
  10. Organize a raffle for donated items from your company or clients: vacation days, gift certificates, parking spaces, clothing/mugs with your company logo.
  11. Hold a donut sale at work.

Social Media Tricks

  1. Utilize your Facebook, Twitter, etc. accounts to promote your efforts to raise money.
  2. Link to the Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraising page.
  3. Add funny bowling videos from YouTube to your page periodically to remind people you will be bowling for kids’ sake.
  4. Ask each of your friends to forego Starbucks for the week and donate that $5 BFKS instead.
