On October 11, I am running the Chicago Marathon in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago (BGCC)! This organization helps ensure all of Chicago's children and teens have the support and resources they need to be successful.
In addition to offering a safe place to go, caring adult mentors and healthy meals, BGCC’s programs build a strong foundation for youth by developing vital social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
Places like Boys & Girls Clubs matter now more than ever. With your help, we can ensure kids continue to have a Club they can rely on, today and in the months and years ahead.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
About Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago
Serving families since 1902, Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago (BGCC) is the city's largest and longest-serving youth development organization dedicated to providing safe spaces for area kids and teens. BGCC uses a comprehensive blend of mentoring and programming to provide youth ages 5 to 20+ the tools they need to become well-rounded and successful adults. Filling the out-of-school hours, which can be the most dangerous for young people, BGCC offers academic, social, and leadership activities for students in some of Chicago’s most underserved neighborhoods. Youth are matched with professional adult mentors, giving kids a safe place to learn, grow, and succeed.
