My Personal Fundraising Page

After 8 years of living in Jamaica Plain and watching friends participate, I am excited to finally participate in Bikes Not Bombs annual Bike-a-thon! I'm hoping to do the 50 mile ride this year.

For those who don’t know, Bikes Not Bombs is a wonderful local org. In addition to sending bikes overseas to developing countries, they have a number of programs to help underserved communities in Boston, including a program where youth can learn bike mechanics through the process of refurbishing a donated bike which they then get to keep! They also have a shop where I go for bike repairs, and where they often hire youth from the community who have graduated from their mechanics training programs.
