Join the Bikes Not Bombs Community on a Bike Ride for Social Change!
We are excited to announce the 38th annual Bike-A-Thon on June 8th, 2025! Register to ride one of three scenic routes: 10 mile, 25 mile, or 50 mile road routes. Each route is supported with rest stops, food, and route markings. Your participation will support work that is needed more than ever. This year with your support, Bikes Not Bombs will:
- Engage and empower over 200 people in Bike School at our Hub in Jamaica Plain and at the MA Department of Youth Services (DYS) center in Roslindale.
- Employ over 40 young people as paid Youth Apprentices who build critical workplace skills in a supportive and caring environment.
- Advocate for safe and equitable transportation options for underserved communities in Boston.
- Ship thousands of bicycles overseas to our partners in the Global South who are working to advance environmental, economic, and social justice initiatives.
- Provide free and affordable bike repair services to underserved communities in Boston through our Chain Reaction mobile bike repair program
Registration fees help cover the cost of this event, and fundraising goes directly towards supporting our mission driven programming. Please read below for details on registration fees and fundraising minimums required for Bike-A-Thon riders:

Safety
Participants under age 18 require a waiver signed by their parent or guardian; and all participants under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the ride. All riders are requried to wear a helmet. Please note that we are keeping up with all CDC recommendations with respect to COVID-19 safety precautions. We will communicate any necessary safety guidelines to all participants before the ride.
Volunteer
If riding is not for you, we would still love to have you join us! We need over 150 volunteers to make our Bike-A-Thon a tremendous success. Stay tuned for details on our volunteer roles, including options for groups, in February!
Spread the Word
We encourage riders to take photos and videos for BNB to share using the hashtags #BAT2025 and #BikeForSocialChange. We also encourage riders to follow us on social media and tag BNB in their posts.
We can't wait to spend the day with you, using the bicycle as a vehicle for social change!
