Biking has always been my favorite way to get around town and explore. For me, time on a bike means ease, freedom, and adventure. This feels especially true now, when there is so much noise in the world. My bike is the perfect antidote - helping me connect with myself and my surroundings. Which is probably why I so admire the mission of Bikes not Bombs - to use the bicycle as a vehicle for social change. This year I'm riding 50 miles to help fundraise for their work, including youth apprenticeship programs, free bike repair, and bike donations around the world.
