Bikes Not Bombs and their Bike-A-Thon have been on my radar for years now, but the timing has never worked out for me to ride. This year the stars have aligned, and I'll be riding the 25-mile course around the western suburbs of Boston to raise funds for Bikes Not Bombs.

For those unfamiliar, Bikes Not Bombs is a Boston area bicycle institution which recycles and repurposes old donated bikes and parts to send to marginalized communities in low-income countries. Locally, BNB also teaches teens bike maintenance and safety skills to build up bicycles from the organization's donated parts which the teens can ultimately keep for themselves.

This is my first time participating in a bike race! I'm excited to support this great organization, and I hope you are too. Thank you for your donation and support!
