I’m a Brazilian cyclist who moved to the US three years ago and quickly fell in love with exploring my new city by bike, whether it’s commuting to work or getting lost on local trails. Cycling has been my meditation, my way to manage anxiety, and a source of joy, carrying on a family tradition that began with rides alongside my father and sister.

After moving to a new country, finding community and joining local rides was challenging, especially with the fundraising required and not knowing anyone in the city. That’s why I’m excited to participate in my first bikeathon and support Bikes not Bombs.

As a daily rider, I care deeply about safe biking for everyone. I want people of all ages and places to feel the freedom and joy of cycling, and for our cities to be welcoming and safe places to ride.
