My friend Mark Bleier (Lexington) was scheduled to do this 50 mile ride with his friend Rick (Lexington). On a training ride about 2 weeks ago Mark had an accident and broke his femur, leaving him unable to participate in this Bike-A-Thon benefitting Bikes Not Bombs. 

Mark being such a caring and kind individual was concerned for his friend Rick riding "alone" in this event, on June 8th. This is where I thought I could help. I'll ride with Rick and hope that Mark continues to recover quickly. 

Bikes Not Bombs is such a great cause helping people all over the globe providing bikes and means to fix them. Those of us who find such joy riding their bikes can understand the assistance this organization provides to the under privileged.
