Bikes Not Bombs (BNB) is a great organzation that my family and I have supported for over a decade.   Social Change is the desired result and this is accomplished through youth pathways such as Earn-A-Bike where 12 to 18 year olds learn to ride safely, completely overhaul a bike, make repairs to their bikes and ride out on a bicycle they built!   A similar program known as Bike Institute is geared to 14 year through adults with locations in JP and Roxbury.   Bicycle recycling, a working bike repair shop, their international programs (where it all started), tool time and mechanics resources are just some of their services.

What makes BNB so special to me is that through all these services and programs young people are provided an opportunity to learn, grow, and lead practically all aspects of the organization.  BNB creates jobs which facilitate healthy productive citizens and future leaders of our community.  While welcoming everyone BNB focuses on people of color and other marginalized community members envisioning a more just, equitable and sustainable world.
