Bikes not Bombs promotes sustainable bicycle-based transportation in the global south, and here at home. Economic and environmental justice have always been deeply entwined, and the events of the past year have made that chillingly clear.

For a number of years I've been supporting this fine organization by riding 100 miles in their annual Bike-a-thon. Because of the Pandemic, this year's event will be virtual, with every rider doing what they can on their own. I'll be doing my favorite century ride, from our home to Charlestown, Rhode Island. If you think you can support the ride in any way, your help will be greatly appreciated. (Although they've designated September 12-20th as the official dates, I'll actually be riding on August 22, but you're welcome to contribute right up to September 20.)
