2020 hasn't been my usual year in cycling. After a solid winter and a trip to Arizona in February, the wheels sort of fell off (fortunately just figuratively). My rotator cuff finally gave way, and surgery was scheduled for late March. Then COVID came and postponed the surgery, and even though I was able to ride solo a bit through the Spring, it just wasn't the same for me. I finally had the surgery at the end of June, and after a solid 6-week layoff, I got back on the trainer in late July. After an easy start, i've been trying to build a little momomentum. A 50 mile charity ride on the traininer in the basement seems like a good goal for now, and will certaininly be my longest trainer ride ever. This Saturday I'll be spending two and a half hours or so in Watopia for a great cause.
